About the Tarot
The origins of the tarot
cards as we know them are lost in the murky depth of time,
but they hold memories and half-forgotten truths
through their imagery, which is full of occult mysticism.
The standard tarot pack has 78 cards, comprising of Major
and Minor Arcana (the word arcana means "profound secret"),
and each card can represent a stage of our life's
experience. In a reading they are used as a divinatory
tool, by which the cards are laid out in any number of
spreads, and each position in the spread has a meaning just
as each card itself has a meaning. It is the art,
skill and empathic abilities of the reader which brings
about an interpretation of the cards.
I work primarily with
clairvoyance, but I
use the tarot cards as a tool to draw out the underlying
issues and to help get to the heart of the problem.
